Short Lived Bleeding
Missing your periods after ovulation is a sign of pregnancy but sometimes you might experience bleeding. This bleeding does not mean start of your menstrual cycle but it is known as implantation bleeding. Implantation bleeding occurs in more than 25% of pregnancies and can be confused with periods Which can make you nervous if in case you are positive about being pregnant.
Implantation bleeding occurs when the fertilized egg tries to implant itself against the uterine wall after traveling through the Fallopian tube to reaches uterus. What To Eat and Drink
Since you have not been able to perform the pregnancy test yet and hence you might not be sure about your pregnancy but that does not mean that you will start taking things carelessly. It is imperative that you behave like as if you are pregnant and follow all the rules such as avoid any kind of alcoholic beverage, consume less coffee or tea, do not eat fish which contains high level of Mercury, avoid uncooked food and do not take meat, poultry, eggs.
Exercise Would be Beneficial
Exercises release you from any kind of stress hence it is recommended that you carry on with some kind of light exercise or any other moderate physical activity. This is not the time to start with any kind of intense training program which can un necessarily put strain on your body.
If in case you receive periods during these 14 days than there could be a serious underlying health problem which needs to be diagnosed immediately. This bleeding can occur due to normal reason like you have miscalculated your ovulation all due to a serious reason known as luteal phase defect. Luteal defect means that your body is not capable of producing enough amount of progesterone which is required to maintain pregnancy.
Apart from an healthy diet you also need to start taking up prenatal vitamin which contains folic acid. The amount of folic acid should fall between the range of 400 to 800 micrograms in the medicine. Folic acid is important for the brain development of your unborn Baby.
